Canaan- The so-called "promise land" Hebrew- Another name for Jew. Covenant- An agreement Moses- Man who led the Israelites out of Egypt. Passover- A Hebrew holiday. Mount Sinai- Where Moses spoke with God. Torah- The laws given to Moses by God. Jericho- A city. 10 Commandments- Important set of laws. Rule of Law- Idea that laws should apply to everyone equally. The Promised Land- Canaan. Deborah- The only woman judge. Phoenicians- Skilled sailors and traders. Alphabet- A group of letters that stood for sounds. Canaanites- People from Canaan. |

The First Israelites were the first civilizations to be Monotheistic meaning they worshiped only one God. The Israelites Monotheistic views influenced Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. The Israelites, led by Moses, went on a 40 year Journey to escape Egypt and reach Canaan after Moses arranged a covenant with God.

I think if they would have not waited until the 7th day to attack Jericho then it would have saved them time on taking over the city. I also think it would have been easier just to escape Egypt rather than getting the Pharaoh to release them because of sickness. And lastly they could have saved time by only taking the long, as the old would most likely slow them down.
